In today's conditions, the "Electronic Library" performs the functions of traditional libraries on the one hand, and on the other hand, it also carries out the task of organizing and maintaining electronic resources and making them available to the public on the basis of computer and telecommunication technologies. Several different interpretations of the term "Electronic Library" have appeared. At the same time, "Electronic library" is usually understood as an information system that allows safe storage and efficient use of various types of electronic documents. It should be noted that the main purpose of creating electronic libraries is to:
• Maintain the integrity of published information;
• Creating the conditions necessary to ensure the availability of printed information;
• Expanding the range of information services;
• Modernize the relevant institutions and make them work at a modern level for the development of public awareness.
